Fig & Groovy is a small business that specialises in making and seeking products that will enhance the play experiences for your child. We are inspired by nature and childhood imagination, with a magical and whimsy feel to our brand. We really do believe that our products are magic and create wonderful experiences for your child!

Courtney (the founder of Fig & Groovy) started her journey and obsession with play when she was a teacher in at a special education school. She carried the skills and knowledge she has for play into other sectors in education from early childhood education to primary school, then finally through to secondary school. Each sector looked different in their versions of play but has given Courtney invaluable experience and knowledge for how important play is for ALL children. Courtney went on to have a child and all of this knowledge only enhanced since having him.

Desperate to find an open-ended play toy that was inexpensive, sensory orientated and full of magic, Courtney got to work and created the most wonderful play dough recipe she had ever laid her hands on. Its smooth and buttery texture was perfect for shape-shifting between her boys' hands and the handcrafted colours were so charming, he was completely spellbound and in love. 

Knowing that more children needed this play dough in their life, Courney decided it was time to launch her new business and create products to give children incredible experiences to last a lifetime.
